Becky is a dedicated and accomplished educator with a distinguished career spanning 15 years. Her extensive experience across various age levels and diverse educational settings equips her with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities within our schools. Becky is deeply committed to addressing individual student needs, educator concerns, institutional growth, and broader community input. Driven by a passion for fostering a wholistic approach to education, her goal is to ensure educational excellence and inclusivity, providing every student with the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing and effective learning environment. Meet Becky

Becky holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Teaching, with endorsements in Mathematics and Career and Technical Education (Engineering). Her teaching experience spans several states, including Washington, Massachusetts, and most recently, Utah.

A passionate advocate for STEM education, Becky developed a nationally recognized mentorship program for Girls in STEM, which fosters student-to-student mentorship and builds supportive relationships between middle and high school students and community members. This program has earned both state and national recognition for its unique and empowering impact on young women.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Becky is an active volunteer at her children's school, contributing in the classroom, through the PTA, and as the organizer of their school's annual STEM Fair. Her dedication to education and her community has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Massachusetts Association of School Committees’ Student Champions Award for Excellence and the SkillsUSA National Grand Prize for the Student2Student Mentoring Program.

Becky’s influence extends beyond the classroom. She chaired an Advisory Committee that focused on strengthening relationships between schools and the community, while also reviewing curriculum to ensure that classroom instruction remained aligned with industry standards and needs. Her role on the committee involved working with budgets and making critical decisions on how to allocate funds effectively, ensuring that resources were directed toward programs that best supported student success and industry relevance. Additionally, Becky has engaged with educational leaders both domestically and internationally, facilitating visits from education officials from Thailand and China to showcase innovative STEM practices. Her leadership has garnered attention from state representatives, including Massachusetts Congresswoman Katherine Clark, underscoring her commitment to advancing education.

Because student well-being is also a top priority, Becky will also advocate for expanded mental health resources, robust special education services, and a variety of extracurricular activities to support their overall development.
